A portrait of Galician filmmaker Oliver Laxe, director of Mimosas, and of the way his life and his cinema meld into one. Shot on 16mm, the film follows Laxe in the interior of Morocco, through the editing of a film, and in the renovation of his grandparents' home in his village, Vilela.

About

Camera, cut & story

Born in La Coruña, Spain, Anton Corbal came to film from science. After a degree in Biology at the University of La Coruña and a Master in Behaviour, Cognition and Neuroscience at Universität Wien, he completed a Master in Documentary Filmmaking at ECIB Barcelona (2011–2012).

Since then he has worked behind the camera and in the edit for festivals, production companies and brands across Europe and India — from a decade with the Berlinale documentation team to his own documentary feature, which premiered at IFFR Rotterdam.
